RACHEL'S RUMINATIONS!

Sometimes you just have to write…

Outside Vicchio, Italy, July 17, 2009

B&B le due Volpi outside Vicchio, Italy

So here I am in what has to be the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. It’s an old farmhouse, probably dating in part from the 14th century, in the Tuscan countryside. It’s the whole cliché: ivy-covered walls, beamed ceilings, terracotta pots holding dried flowers or fruit trees. There’s a gorgeous view of the sunset over the hay fields and vineyards, and the farmhouse is surrounded by fruit trees of every sort. At the same time as fitting the country idyll, there are clean, modern bathrooms and a small pool among the fruit trees. The only thing missing is wifi.

There’s not much more to say: I am content.
